Auto/Stop Start Override Options?

So I’m new to auto/stop start. I had it on some rental cars and I have to say, I am not a fan. I have never gotten used to it and I find it annoying. I think that the fuel savings is negligible. I believe that the wear caused by stop/start does not offset the fuel savings. Especially on a turbo charged engine. I really like to idle down my engine before I shut it off to allow the turbo to cool a bit so I don’t “coke” the oil in the hot turbo. Besides, we have had some older cars in the past and I believe my wife has a bit of PTSD from old cars stalling and has flashbacks. Now I know you can just press the switch on to override it, and I do, but sometimes I forget and still find it annoying.

My question is, is anyone running a bypass? If so, what kind are you running? Or have you ever run one on another car? I did a quick search and it seems like the prices range from about $100.00 for a known after market brand, down to about $10.00 for the Temu variety. Any thoughts?
Been looking myself, found a $15 cure on Amazon that had good reviews, it was for the '24 Chevy Trax, the Trax an the Envista share the same platform an engine ... I'm thinking it will work. Have contacted the manufacturer last Sunday and am waiting a reply. To find it on Amazon type in Chevrolet Trax and a host of aftermarket accessories pop up. This "cure" is a jumper wire that hooks up to an existing cable, so it's easy to install.

Thanks for sharing this. When I looked I noticed that most of the listings I found for the Buick Encore, and Chevy Trax, only went up to 2023. I wasn’t sure if the ‘24’s and up were actually different, or if the listings were just old.

My only concern is how much you have to tear into it to connect this up?
I hate to say it, but I’m a little skittish about tearing it down because it’s so new!
Keep us posted on what you find.
Nothing to tear into ... #1 turn off the car. #2 open the hood. #3 the wire on the Trax/Invista lives right behind the hood latch part you do with your hand to open the hood. #4 the wire has a plug in feature, just unplug the harness connector and plug the jumper wire into the correct ends. #5 what this does is trick the computer into thinking the hood is open as if you're changing the oil for instance and disregards auto stop/start. It took longer to read this than to do the job. #6 all done.

5 minute install, the vendor said it should work, it did. Just open the hood, the connector is just under the trip that you move to finish opening the hood, unplug the wire, plug in the harness. use the zip tie to gather up the wire and tie it off ... job done. The harness tricks the switch into thinking the hood is open disabling the auto on/off.
